Town of Antrim – Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes
February 8, 2010      AMENDED

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Stephen Schacht at the Antrim Town Hall.

Members Present:        Stephen Schacht, Gordon Webber, and Michael Genest
                        
Staff Present:  Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)

1.      The board reviewed the Selectmen’s minutes for Jan. 25, 2010.  Mr. Genest motioned to accept the minutes as written, Mr. Webber seconded the motion.  Passed 3/0.

2.      Mr. Webber stated that the Selectmen’s Advisory Committee met and supported the school budget.

3.      Mr. Stearns presented the results of the bids, which were publicly opened at 2:00 PM, January 22, 2010, for audit services for year ending December 31, 2009.  Out of the five firms solicited for proposals, two firms submitted proposals for up to three years of year-end auditing.  The lowest bid submitted was from Vachon, Clukay & Co., PC from Manchester for $12,950 for 2009 audit, $13,650 for 2010 audit and $14,350 for the 2011 audit.  Mr. Genest motioned to award the audit contract to Vachon, Clukay & Co., Mr. Webber seconded the motion.  Passed 3/0

4.      The board questioned where the forensic audit stood, Mr. Stearns stated that the auditor has been in twice and has taken some documentation with him.  Mr. Stearns will follow up with Graham & Graham to try and get a firm commitment from them on a completion date.

5.      Ms. Shelly Nelkens inquired as to the make up of the Energy Committee and requested to be appointed to the committee.  Mr. Stearns will look research the formation of the committee and report back to the board.

6.      Non-Public Session, Mr. Genest moved and Mr. Webber seconded to enter into a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3: II a, b, & c Personnel issue. Roll call vote – all members “yes”. Present were the Board and Mr. Stearns,

There being no further business, the Mr. Webber motioned to adjourn, Mr. Genest seconded, passed 3/0 at 8:46 pm
